Autumn Term 2021

Welcome to a new academic year at Kirtlington Preschool.

We extend a warm welcome to all our new children and their families.

Covid 19

Kirtlington Preschool will continue to be mindful of the risk of infection from Covid 19.

We shall continue to ask Parents and Carers to drop off their child at the Preschool Gate. (The gate is to the far right of the school building if you are facing the school). Please try to maintain adequate distance from other people.

We will continue with our cleaning and quarantining routines and the classroom will be well ventilated. Children will be encouraged to wash their hands frequently and sneeze or cough into their elbow.

Staff will continue to do Lateral Flow tests twice a week and we encourage Parents to do likewise. Please do not bring your child to preschool if they are unwell or have any Covid 19 related symptoms.

We are now able to share the Early Years outdoor play area without a weekly rota! Hooray!

This term we will focus on settling in the children and familiarising them with our routines. We encourage independence wherever possible. We will also be finding out about ourselves including our senses and oral health. We will be looking for signs of Autumn, listening to traditional stories and rhyming stories, singing number rhymes and finding out about recycling and repurposing.

We look forward to getting to know your children and having fun using our wide variety of resources.
